Simon Road Hokkien Mee Lost & Found!
We chanced upon this stall and is immediately attracted by the bright lights and very elaborate signage. So why not?
The $5 plate was ordered (actually packed), assuming how much HKM is usually served. But.... we were wrong!
This packet can easily feed two average sized adults. The unami is simply irresistible, the seafood portions were more than generous and the sambal chilli was great! To add to it, the fried pork fat is packed separately and you can add to your heart's (dis)content. (9/10)
What maybe was lacking is the wok-hei. But nevertheless a good hearty meal on a cold rainy day!
The same coffeeshop boost a decent zi char place and a roasted meat stall. The braised duck stall is worth a mention too.
Truly a new found gem in the heartlands!
Yes, they have their own namecard.
